Version Management in WAD

Hi all,

is there any version management in Web application designer. If no, can u suggest an effective alternative(other than copying and pasting somewhere to maintain version)

    Hello!

    There is no version management in the BEx Web Application Designer. You have to manage the versions yourself.

    You can create your own copies as backup inside SAP BW. For example, create copies with the same name followed by a number.

    But you should keep one technical name for the latest version. Otherwise you have to adapt the entries in your roles. Copies should be stored in a different role.

    Another way is to copy the HTML coding (see tab HTML in BEx Web Application Designer) as text in an external source management software (like Microsoft Source Safe or Perforce, etc.) to handle different versions.
