Naming Conventions

Hi

Happy new Year

Can any one let me know how exactly

Naming conventions

And

Nomenclature are defined in SAP

Because its too difficult to identify the

tables Names,

Field Names

I really appreciate for your help

    Hello Shashi,

    Your query is a bit too vague to be answered completely. You have said that it is too difficult to identify the table-names and field-names.

    1. By naming conventions, do you mean the program naming conventions? Or the conventions folllowed to name any dictionary object / program ?

    2. Where in the SAP environment do you want to identify them? Are you debugging some standard SAP program and are facing some difficulty?

    Please elaborate on your requirement so that it could be answered precisely.

    Incase of SAP normally naming convention to be followed for any customization required should start with "Y" / "Z" and provided it should not contain any special characters and the length of the name should be less than equal to 10

    As sap being product developed by germany so the naming convention of database as well as fields are related to the german language so if u know german language u have an added advantage over it
