Hi all,
I am trying to import the DEBMAS03 idoctype into integration repository??? i.e i would like to know how to connect to sap r/3 system.
I have imported the software component version and and in interface import, i have checked the import rfc and idoc interfaces from sap systems permitted and given the details of sap sytem from which it has to import the idoc type. But am getting error and not able to import it??
Can any one help in this regard?? i.e how to connect remote sap r/3 system from integration repository.
Rgds,

Hi!
Have you made the entry in /etc/services on the Integration Server for the message server?
sapmsSID 3600/tcp # SAP System Message Port from which
you want to import

hi sr,
i am also facing the same problem. Did you get a solution for it? please reply
i have described the probmem below.
I am not able to import SAP objects into the Integration Repository in XI 3.0. This option is under any Software Component Version. I have selected the radio button "Import of RFC and IDoc interfaces from SAP systems permitted", in the Software Component Version settings. After the connection data is specified for the SAP system nothing appears under the IDoc, Whereas the import of RFCs is successfull.
We also have another installation of SAP XI 3.0, here this option is working properly. Can anyone tell me what is the problem, is is there something else to be configured inorder to do this.

Hi,
When executing import, do you use the correct application server and system number? Because the appication server name is often different from the System defined in the software component version!
Cheers.

I have defined sap system as SAP system both in technical and business landscape. I have created rfc destination with r/3 connection mentioning the details of integration server. On integration server side i have created port using idx1, and rfc destination for connecting sap system.
But still i am not able to import the idoc type from sap system. I am getting error like connection is not established??/
Any help would be appreciated??

Hi,
How did you define the SAP system in the SLD? If the customzing in the SLD is ok,it should be no problem!
