Background job

Hi All,

I have put one job in background. Now, I want to know how many records have been completed in middle of execution. is it possible? or any transaction available then please let me know.

    Hi,

    One of the ways is that you go to SM50, select the respective job and debug it. The problem will be that if it is a SAP standard program, the data is usually inserted in the database in the update work process. It would be hard to identify the number of records inserted unless there is a statement like INSERT <dbtab> FROM <itab>. Then sy-dbcnt will contain the number of affected records. Otherwise, a count of successful insertions might not be easy to find out.

    If it is your own program, you could perhaps maintain a counter of successful insertions and while in debug mode, check its value.
