    Hi,

Sales BOM type is only available to sales documents. It is actually only a bundle of products without need in production. That is why not available to production order. If you want production order, the BOM must Production or Assembly type.

    Thanks,

    Gordon

    Hi Sachet........

Sales BOM does not populate in Production Order window.

For that you have to turn the Sales BOM into Production BOM.

It appears only in Sales Docs......

    Regards,

    Rahul

    Hi Sachet ,

Sales BOM will not appear in the Production BOM.

This type of BOM only appears in the Sales Document.

This Sales BOM in SAP is only imaginary , The Parent Item of Sales BOM is only Sale Item , it is not even inventory .

Which comes in role when you want to sale the child item in boxes etc.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Sales BOM does not list in Production Order window.

For that you should have to make Production BOM.

then it will be list in production order.

and i think you are mixing sales in both BOM parent and child item

Suppose you want to sale Computer Desktop

then we will make Sale BOM in Bill of Material and Computer Desktop should be sale item in Item Master

    Computer Desktop (Parent Item)

Mouse(child Item as Inventory Item in master)

Keyboard(child Item as Inventory Item in master)

CPU(child Item as Inventory Item in master)

Desktop(child Item as Inventory Item in master)

others(child Item as Inventory Item in master)

now whenever you make Sales order for Computer Desktop and quantity is 2 then SAP make committed quantity only for child item in master data or inventory report.

And when you will make delivery document then child item stock will be decrease on then basis of how many quantity you want to dispatch of parent item(Computer Desktop)

    Thanks

    • hi Sachet Tirole,

      Greetings of the day.

First of all, r u creating a BOM for sales? and not for production?

well if u r using the BOM for production, in the BOM please select 'production' for all the parts that go into assembly or production type. these get reflected in MRP, for Assembly and also for production.

this will enable u to create BOM to various levels and will help right from raw material to sub assy to sub assy to finished product.

      thanks and regards.
