Accent disapears in title Menu's !!!

Hello !!!

In our SAP system has disapears all character's with accent in title menu of SAP.

Example : (In spanish ) Menú

We find Men (without ú).

Any idea , how is possible that in title menu any title transacction with an accent is broken in this character and not show any more

We are in SAP R/3 Enterprise 4.7 - Oracle - HP -UX.

Did you apply any support packages or language packages recently????

I would suggest you to update your frontend SAP GUI with latest patch

Yes we install French language. And if if you enter in french no accent appears too, the same as in spanish.

We've update SAP Gui woth latest patchest, but problem isn't solved.

Any accent appears, and the title is broken with the character with an accent.

Any other idea ?

Ok, after language package did u apply the support package?

Language > Special Actions > Import Support Packages, if there is a green indicator then u dont have to apply else you have to apply.

Cos support packages also contain language corrections.

Yes, we applied all support packages and finish ok !!!

Sorry talking with an analist, tell me that this problem, happens before language installation.

We have this problem with our TEST Server , that is copied throught Homogeneous System Copy source Production System.

In Production System there isn't any problem with accent.

Any idea ?

You mean to say that this problem was there even before language installation and occurred when a system copy of production system was done. Am I right?

I'm not sure if it happens in system copy, but we are sure that it happens before language installation.

Check out the below note:

Note 1238351 - Hom./Het.System Copy SAP NW 7.0 incl. Enhancement Package 1

Which discusses about a similar issue:

"Due to an error in certain dbmssslib.dlls, R3load erroneously distorts special characters (for example, German "Umlaute", French accented characters, and so on) during the import.

Solution:

Make sure that you replace the dbmssslib.dll used for the import by the latest one. For more information, see SAP note 1279941.

To avoid import errors, see SAP Note 1152240, section "SYSTEM COPY ON SQL Server 2008."

Not sure whether its relevant to you but its worth giving a try.
