Identifying master data datasource for standerd DSO

Hello Experts,

I am in a process to upload a transaction data into a standerd DSO named "Shopping Cart" from SRM source system.Please let me know how I can identify what is the master data required to be uploaded before uploading transaction data.

Also let me know general process for identifying master data for any standerd infoprovider.

Hi All,

good morning !!!

I have activated a standerd DSO named "Shopping Cart-Single Document" with selection "In Data flow before" under module SRM.Also I have created infopackage and DTP for the same and loaded transaction data into this DSO.Please tell me whether the data I have uploaded is meaningful in the absense of master data?

Also let me know how I can identify the standerd queries in BEx and standerd web templates in WAD relevant ONLY to this DSO.

Hi,

You might need some of these listed below. I have worked with Bidding Engine part and we needed the Purch org, Purch group, Status texts MD datasources. Check in the Shopping cart flow (rules) if there are any lookups on MD objects. In such case you would need to maintain MD for those.

Hi,

Without master data load, data will not make sense. User will not be able to draw out the information out of the data.

Data might be correct in the DSO but will not be understood by the user.

There will be places where user wont be able to remember all the numbers of the product so in this case he would be interested to see the names of the product for better analysis.

To identify the reports and WAD templates for this DSO you can either take of help.sap.com or you can go to Business content tab and select this DSO with grouping "Before and afterward" and drag and drop this DSO to the right panel of the screen.

It will collect all the dependent and required objects including Bex queries and templates.

With this you can find all the reports.
