Batch Management Activation for a material

Hi,

I am trying to activate batch management for a material in plant X. All the stocks of current and previous period are cleared.

When I try to activate the batch management, the error that 'stock exists in Plant Y , sloc XXX', is given by the system.I fail to understand that if I am trying to activate batch management for material in plant X , why is the system checking plant Y's stock and throwing its error.

Please give your valuable inputs.

Thanks!

Regards.

    Hi,

Use t.code: OMCT and specify which level needed to Activate Batch Management. Select as required by you is Plant level.

your batch level is not plant level, it is either set to material or client level. hence if you want make the material batch managed, then this setting is valid for all plants using this material. Hence you have to clear the stock in previous and current period for all plants

    Hi,

Maybe the is stock sitting in transit from plant Y's.

Check in T- code MB5T if plant Y's has to receive stock from supplying plant X

    Thanks
