Adding tables via ODBC in Crystal 2008, a suffix of 1 is added to the table

Hi, brand new here! Maybe someone can help me out..

When using Crystal Reports 2008 to design a new report, Crystal adds a suffix of the number 1 to the end of the tables - when I add them via ODBC. It does not let me remove the 1 by trying to rename via F2.

Has anyone seen this or know why this would happen? I did not have this issue using Crystal XI.

Thanks!

    Hello,

CR will do that if there is a name it can't figure out. It Aliases the name, typically because there is a character in the name or it exists somewhere else, various reasons. sometimes the ODBC driver doesn't pass the name properly so CR will append the name to make it unique.

You can try installing all of the latest patches or update the DB client, it may fix the naming also.

    Thank you

    Don
