Material Specific Field in Sales order....

Hi Experts,

Is there any possibilities of maintaining material specific characters at sales order item level?...

For example if we want store the Materials character as A in sales order does standard SAP supports it?......

Hi

I understand that you want to use id other than SAP material in SO, Am I right?. If I am right, See SAP Note 78093 - Display of alternative material identifiers, but I have doubts that it solves your requirement.

Hi,

If you are not using the Customer Material Number you can ask the user to enter the required material id here or if they ids are pre-defined then maintain them in the customer material number so that the system automatically displays the same.

Can you let us know the funda behind the character you are using to better understand and help you.

One way is as suggested earlier. or you can use the VD51 if you are not using it right now..
