It used to be a very simple thing to download service packs. Not anymore. I download the Xcelsius SP4 Enterprise, extract it and get a file which cannot be opened by any software I have. Why complicate things?
Does anyone know how to do this? My expertise lies in a different field than messing with software.
Thanks for any help.
Did you download it from here: http://service.sap.com/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm
Are you sure the zip-file is 100% complete (check size of file).
I didn't have any problems downloading and installing SP4.
Cheers,
Xavier

There are two ways to download software:
Either download single files by clicking on the hyperlinked name of the file ("Download Object")
Or use Download Manager to download multiple files at once or to schedule downloads for a later time.
Goto service market place -->softwared downloads -->Collect files and add to download basket .
Open Download Manager on your PC and schedule the download.
If You donot have access to service market place contact you basis team and ask them to install the software.
