Actual work and Actual Duration fields in PM confirmation iw41

Hi friends ,

Can anybody tell what exactly Actual work and Actual Duration fields are meant for.

I use Actual Duration field to enter the actual time spent on the operation and somtimes Remaining work also if required.

Now I am testing somthing , my labor cost of the opertaion is being coming from Actual work.

Can anybody help.

And also in my Work Ctr , I have defined same activity two times with different formulae.

How at the time of the confirmation we can choose which formulae is to be used.

Regards

Achal

    Hi,

    see this example

actual duration = 2 hrs ( actual time spent on any activity)

no. of people = 3 ( no of people involved in that maintenance activity)

    Tthen Actuel work = 2x3= 6 hrs.

use one activity type for one work center

      Hi,

We have the following scenario: The system does not default the Actual Duration when the Start Date, Time and Finish Date, Time are entered on the time confirmation, it should calculate the time and insert the value in the Actual Duration field.

      Is it possilbe.

      Regards

      JF

    hi Achel,

Actual time taken to complete the operation - Actual duration. It will be updated in order history and use can use this to analyze planned Vs actual time taken.

Actual work is used to calculate the cost of internal activity. for example

2 no of workers worked for 2 hrs in this case actual work (2 x 2)will be 4 Hrs - Cost will be calculated and posted for 4 hrs.

2 Hrs will be actual duration.

    Best regards,
