How can I block a single g/l account to stop posting?

in the t.code FS00 where u create gl accounts. in the last you can see one lock where u can block gl for posting

In FS00 Transaction code enter your GL account and Select the Lock key where you can give the option as account to be block for posting.

Option -1:
You can block the GL Account in Chart of Accounts/Company Code for posting in FS00
option -2
In T code OB52, you can open & close posting period for all or specific GL accounts (Depends upon the setup), anyway make new entry with account interval for your accounts then restrict upon period wise or you can use GL account block but not period specific

You can block a GL at Co Code or Chart of Account level through FS00. Depending on the level of block, either for all co codes assigned to a Chart of Accounts or for a particular co code.
