    Hi,

    You need to go for" multiple goods receipt & multiple credits"which specify whether your system allowed to receive more than one delivery per excise invoice, and if so, whether to take the CENVAT credit immediately or not!

    Regards,

    for the specified plant or depot, how u want to allow to receive the excise invoice of goods receipt n how u want to valuate thier CENVAT credit whether single or multiple. means, CENVAT credit immediately (Multiple Credits) or have to wait until the delivery has been made in full (Single Credit).

    u can set it as per ur business requirement. if u are not awre much, then i will suggesst u use 3rd option. and watch.

    thanks

    Hi ,

    *Multiple Goods receipts ,Single Credit * means ;

    It will allowed to receive more than one delivery per excise invoice, and take Single Credit.

    ex. If You have ordered a consignment of 100,000 RS of any material from a vendor with excise duty at 10,000 RS. The vendor sends the material in two batches. When the first batch arrives, the store people posts the goods receipt for 50,000 Rs. (plus 10,000 RS of duty); the excise supervisor does not post the excise invoice for the quantity delivered. When the second batch arrives, Stores people credit 10,000 to CENVAT account.

      Hello

      Bijay Kumar Barik, Ms. nisha and Abhishek1977

      Thanks for your information and Still I am having some query on these.

      Mr. Abhishek1977,

      In your example you have mentioned in case of u201CMultiple Goods receipts, Multiple Credits u201C means ;

      As per your example, the value of consignment of Rs.100,000 + Rs.10,000 is Excise Duty.

      First Point u2013 The vendor sends the material in two batches when the first batch arrives, the store people post the goods receipts for Rs.50,000 along with excise invoice FOR Rs.5000 ONLY, NOT FOR Rs.10,000. When vendor sends second batch then Goods receipts for Rs. 50,000 and excise invoice for Rs.5000.

      And in case of *Single Good receipt * means:

      Goods Receipt for Rs.100,000 and excise duty for Rs.10,000 and credit will be taken for Rs.10,000 NOT FOR Rs. 5000

      Please clarify the above two points and correct me if I am wrong

      Best Regards
