Month end process

Hello Experts,

I am new to SAP BPC and have a process-related question for you guys.

I would like to know the process behind the month-end activities in BPC.

1. Typically, in FI, we do all the month-end activities (using the closing cockpit as a guide) and then report on these results.

2. I am also aware that BPC can also perform these activities like Allocations, Balance Carry Forward, Account transformations, etc.

However, I am not sure if the process would become easier if we perform all the closing activities in FI and then import the data into BPC , or do the closing activities in BPC.

In addition, if you can share a list of all the month end activities in BPC, that will be very helpful to me.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks..

I guess your questions is more from consolidation prospective since there is no need to perform these kind of activities for planning.

    Balance carry forward.

In BPC you do this at the year end to carry forward the BPC balances. You need to do it specifically in BPC as well.

Netincome calculation,Currency translation, intercompany elimination, consolidaiton of investments is what you need to do it on every consolidation close in BPC.
