Howto update productdefinition in SMSY

Hi gurus,

need to integrate new system with netweaver 7.3 in SMSY, but not available. - latest 7.1...

In SLD, 7.3 allready exist. SOLMAN 7 / EHP1 1 / SP24

There is an XML that you can import to your Solution Manager system, attached to note 1603103 (currently in process). I guess that the note will be released in about a week or so. If you are in a real hurry, you could always ask SAP support staff to send you the XML and then you can update the PPMS info for Netweaver 7.3 uploading the XML with Report RS_SMSY_PPMS_XML_UP_DOWNLOAD, marking option upload.

Hey Thomas,

You might want to take a look at the system settings to figure out whether the product / product version is active.

SMSY --> Utilities --> System Settings.

Also check in the Product definitions Section in SMSY you should be able to see SAP Netweaver as a product with the following versions :

SAP NETWEAVER 04

SAP NETWEAVER 7.0

SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0

SAP EHP2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0

SAP NETWEAVER 7.3

SAP NETWEAVER 7.31

Netweaver 7.3 s alreay available in Solman 7.1

check SMSY --> Product Definitions --> SAP Netviewer.

Its also there in SAP Solution Manager 7.0 SP25.

Hi Thomas,

The reason for that is probably that the product is just out of ramp-up, so you need to request product definition from SAP (it can be delivered separately as an .xml file), but it might be also that the product definition is available in the latest SP and probably that's what SAP will ask you as a first thing to do.

In SLD you probably just imported the newest .cim file and Netweaver 7.3 was already included in product definition there.
