Condition on date keyfigure

Hi all,

in one of our cubes we have a keyfigure which is defined as date. Now we want to create a condition on this keyfigure. The data in the cube for this keyfigure is stored, as expected, in the internal date format YYYYMMDD. But when it comes to input a value for the keyfigure (e. g. 20040101) the value is interpreted as a number and converted to 20.040.101. With this the query doesn't give the desired result. Does anybody know how to come around this issue (without changing the keyfigure to a number instead of date).

regards and thanks in advance

    Hi Siggi !

Just to better understand your needs...

you are creating a condition of this date KF and when you input 20040101 (in order to see only the records with this date, for example), you are not able to see anything because the system generate (SQL) a select with 20.040.101 value ?

Where did you found this value ?

are you able to perform any calculation with your date KF (sorry, but I don't have the system available to check my-self...) ? (that is, could you do a formula KF - constant date like sy-datum and then to build your condition on this result? otherwise I think you have to ask for some help to SAP support...but, if your input is converted (with 'enter' command ?), could you see the conversion routine back this input field ?)
