    Hello Nandan,

I see that this is your first post. So let me Welcome you to the SDN Community.

Regarding your doubt, your statement sounds somewhat unclear, but what I think you are looking for is to set the date format. Here's how you do it -

Go to the menu path System>User Profile>Own Data.

On the defaults tab of the screen you then see, you can set the default for data formats.

    Hope this helps,

    Regards,

    Anand Mandalika.

Since you are new to the SDN Forums, I would like to introduce you to the SDN points system.

You assign points to the replies that you have found to be useful. It's a way to say "thanks" for the effort in the replies.

    See: /people/mark.finnern/blog/2004/08/10/spread-the-love for directions.

    2 - 6 pointers (very helpful)

    Lots of 2 pointers (helpful)

    Hi,

use the function module 'CONVERT_DATE_TO_INTERN_FORMAT' to convert your date into the internal format which is always YYYYMMDD and then do the following:

    • l_dateInt = date variable with date in internal format

    • l_dateEx = date variable with date in external format

    data: l_dateInt type sy-datum,

    l_dateEx(10) type c.

    concatenate l_dateInt6(2) '.' l_dateInt4(2) '.' l_dateInt(4) into l_dateEx.

This logic is independent of any user settings.

    Hope this helps.

    regards

    Siggi
