Dear Chintan,

One way to archive this is that create 2 separate activities for Steam and Water. For that you need do the following settings.

1. In transaction OP7B, create 2 new parameters for Water and Steam, just like setup, machine and labor.

2. You need to enter proper dimension and Value unit for it.

3. Other wise you can use SAP standard Parameter i.e. PH_STF/PH_STP for Steam and PH_WAF/PH_WAP, if those suits to your application.

4. In Transaction OP21, create formulas with required settings for water and Steam consumption, which will be helpfully for costing.

5. You can use standard SAP Formulas i.e. PHFSTF/PHFSTP for Steam and PHFWAF/PHFWAP for Water again if those suits to your application.

6. Then in transaction OP19, you can assign those Parameters to the Standard value key which ever you are using in Workcenter along with setup, machine and labor.

7. For costing of Steam and Water consumption, you need to create Activity types for it and need to assign it to Cost center with proper costing value. You can take help of your FICO consultant for it.

8. In Workcenter you need to use this Standard value key and attach proper newly created formula in costing tab.

Yes one more thing, if Water and Steam is showed in your stock and you want to post it in your inventory logistics, then above thing will not help you as it will not consume stocks. For that i think you need to map it through BOM only.

Please revert if you need further assistance.

Hello Chintan - you can maintain steam and water as pipeline material and consume it by posting withdrawals using an account assignment. This need not be included in the BOM or recipe.

You can also include it in the BOM but only as a non-stock item and flag it as relevant (or non relevant) for costing

FYI:

A pipeline material is a material that enters the production process directly from a pipeline (for example, oil), from a pipe (for example, mains water), or via a cable (for example, electricity), and can be consumed. Pipeline materials are represented by the material type PIPE. These materials have the following business characteristics:

They are not obtained or planned. The required quantity can be removed from the pipeline at any time.

They are not stored and they are not managed in inventory management. No physical inventory is performed.

You can only post withdrawals for this material using account assignment.

Posting withdrawals creates liabilities to the vendor from whom the pipeline material is obtained. These liabilities are settled periodically.

Pradeep.

Dear Sir,

COuld you please mention whethet the steam is High Pressure Steam or Low Pressure Stem opr simple Stem, .Are u generation it for production or it is being generated as By-product during main process.Same regarding water , whethet the water is being distilled one or SImple bored watre.

You could maintain both the Steam and water in BOM and ( MAster Recipes ) and attached to a phase.
