Hi Luke,

If a workflow cannot be activated after a transport it usually means that something is missing in the target system. e.g. if you created a new task which you added to your workflow and did not transport the task into the target system the workflow will not be able to activate because the task is missing. Same goes for new container element based on new structures or DB tables. Please trabsport all new objects first and then transport your workflow.

In the target system open the workflow and do a syntax check...itshould tell you where the problem lies.

Regards,

Eddie

Luke,

Along with the checks Eddie suggested and the Buffer Refresh, also make sure that the organizational objects(if any) you are using exist in the target system . Happened to me once, where the positions we were using were not transported with the workflow and this caused it to fail .

Luke,

Before you go digging too deeply for the error, remember to always run transaction SWU_OBUF to refresh the buffers.

It might resolve the issue on its own.

This is especially necesssary if you do a transport and want to test a workflow on the same day.

cheers
