Payment Plan and Payment in Investment Project Via Investment Management

Hi all,

I am doing one investment project via the investment management as the capex fund budget. Project is executed via the capex budget which is distributed via Investment Management.

Now the payment needs to be planed and the project cash management needs to be done..but in CJ48 commitment item is the required filed but related to the Revenue Budget only while the project budget is via the capex budget i.e Investment Management so i ca't use revenue budget.

Just want to understand the concept of the payment in capital investment projects when IM is used for capex budget and not FM used..

How to do this?

If anyone where work with the client who have implemented FM and IM both?

You can activate PCM (project cash management). To activate PCM no need to implement full FM it only requires to set up an FM area.

Please read sap help on PCM and revert with your specific queries..

Dear,

Project Cash Management receives information from the expenditure account, by way of the account assignment object and commitment item.

Dear i the Investment Project with the investment management all the capex budget is controlled by the IM only and this budget is being used by project.

But the FM and the commitment item is used in revenue related budget with is not used by project.

So we can't use the commitment item then what is the method of payment plan in investment project controlled by IM.

As per SAP HEP, Commitment Item means :-An element that represents the functional grouping of expenditures and revenues.

You could very well plan and monitor expenditure by activating PCM.

Dear i need to plan the payments which i need to pay to vendors u r right i can do that with the PCM but i can't do with the FM because FM is used for the revenue budget and revenue budget can't be used in capex budget.

The budget for the capital investments is used by the IM only as the investment budget i can't use FM commitment items for the investment projects.As the client is using IM for the capital budget and FM for the revenue budget..

Give me some more idea to doing that...
