configuring SAP Portal with Web Dispatcher

Hi Experts,

The basis guys were trying to configure Portal with Web Dispatcher and having trouble in configuring and previewing some of the iViews.

After clicking on preview they are getting blank screen.

Please advice.

You can right click on blank page and see properties to get the url of where it is Getting stuck. If it is a standard SAP Page, Can you please the log and let me know any relevant error for the same. Also, Please Check Whether You are using portal from IE 6, 7 or IE 8 with Compatibility Mode Set only.

Also. check whether the URL, the Iview is calling is In same domain or have access from portal server.

You can get back to us with logs. to help us suggest better.

But right clicking on the white portion is not giving me any error log or so.

With right clicking he meant: look at the URL property of the page to find out the from where the browser is loading the page. Is it still the URL of the portal / web dispatcher or from another server?

Of course this won't give you a error log.

Can you please check the following and update.

1. Please Check IE version and update.

2. Please Check Log - and Give relevant Log , from default trace.

3. Please check the URL in Properties(right click on Blank page) to find whether it is Getting stuck in SAP standard page or in Custom Application page. (alternativeley you can use http watch)

4. also Update the kind of Iviews you are using. Is it URL iview, R3 iview or any other application iview.

I am already using a webportal which is working fine but now i have to embed a new web portal with SAP.

could you suggest me anything.
