workitem deletion for inactive employees

Hello All,

We have appraisal workflow in the ESS.

How to delete workitems which are already triggered in the system for inactive employees.

for example, employess has left the orgnization and his mid year review wokitem is still pending in his manager's UWL.

So is there any solution , to delete all such workitems for al inactive employees which is active in system
