Custom Controller vs Component Controller

We are working on SAP CRM7.0. We have developed a few custom assignment blocks in different components. While creating binding, we have used component controller to share data between views of the same component. We did not do it via customer controller in some cases. The application works fine. I would like to know what are the adverse effects of this approach if we did not use custom controller for binding. Will it affect performance ?

Regards,

Vin

    Hi Vinayak,

Custom Controller which can be used locally means in that component it self.Component Controller which can be used globally

means it can be used out side of the component.

    Hi Vin,

The custom and component controllers are essentially similar - there will be no effect on performance. The only difference is that the component controller can be exposed to other components but not the custom controller.
