Identification in Multiprovider

Hi All,

I have a problem in identification of charateristics in a multicube.

Say I am creating a multiprovider based on two ODS.

Now I want to assign the VAL3 object of ODS2 to charateristics VAL of the multiprovider. But I am not able to do that as in the identification tab the object VAL3 is not comming under the VAL charateristics.

Is there any way I can do the assignment. Would really appreciate if some one can provide some documentaion on the identification tab of the multiprovider.

Thanks

Prashant

    Hi Prashant,

I think that in 'Explanations' button you find all the needed info to identify the source object for your multiprovider...

I don't exactly understand the sentence 'I want to assign the VAL3 object of ODS2 to charateristics VAL'...if you want to assign VAL3 you have to put in your multiprovider the object VAL3 and not the VAL one !

    Hope it helps !

    Bye,

    Roberto

    Hi,

I would elaborate on my case:

Say I have the object 0VENDOR in ODS1 and ZVENDOR in ODS2.

Now I want to create a multiprovider which will show me the union of all the vendors from both ODS.

I created an multiprovider and added the characetristic OVENDOR in the same. Now while I go to the identification tab I cannot find any way to assign the ZVENDOR from ODS2 to the vendor characteristics in the multicube.

May be I am not getting wrong somewhere. Can you help me out to know wheather we can add any characteristic apart from which come automatically in the identification tab.

    Thanks

    Prashant
