We have a situation where ER also pays for EE Disability Tax in Puerto Rico

Standard configuration will take out both and it will be on EE's. what are our options?

    Hello:

For Puerto Rico, we calculate /431 and /441 as a group override in BSI

    Best regards,

    Federico.

      Sure, no problem:

      1) in your schema create a rule and assign a BSI employee group to your PR employees, you have to use operation UMODE, let say you will use employee group EG91, the operation should look like: UMODEEG91

      2) In BSI create your Employee group EG91

      3) In BSI do the override; create new values for:

      Authority: Puerto Rico

      Tax Type: Employeer disability tax

      Formula: Employee disability formula

You then should override the Regular, Supplemental and Cumulative payment (this is related to PC 68)

Let me know if you need further explanation

      Best regards,

      Federico.

    Thanks Federico.

When i go to Group Overide and add PR Tax Type and Formulas are dependent on previous values.

    i.e.

    When i Select

    PR as Tax Authority

31 ER Disb Tax as Tax Type

i get formulas only for ER there is no option to add EE Formula.

I believe it is a flat amount...we were not deducting it through the system but manually remitted them accounted in FICO.

If the population is huge then...let the system deduct the EE tax wagetype and generate /4. but in your UTX0 subschema write a rule after these below function

    USTAX

    UTXOR

    UTPRI

    UOTX0

In this custom rule...use operation UWTIF then write condition when authority is PR and your tax type, then move the amount from your /4xx wagetype to say 9PRD ( Puerto Rice Disability). Let this wagetype be employer contribution.

Adjust the /5u0 and /5u1 accordingly.
