Change in Company Name with date effect

Hello Expert,

I have received one requirement from the customer that, They want to change the company name to some other name but with date effect. e.g. let say, they have company name called ABC LTD. but now from 1st July onwards they wanted to change the name as XYZ LTD.

However whatever transaction has been done till now with the name of ABC LTD should not affect i.e. it should reflect only ABC LTD till 30th June and transaction made from 1st July onwards should reflect XYZ LTD.

Please reply if anyone have come across with this kind of requirement.
