Hi,

While configuring CUA in my SAP landscap between my R3 (Central) and BI (Child) system i am having a problem. One RFC with the logical system name of BI (Child system) already exists in R3 (central system) withe user ALEREMOTE. But according to CUA configuration steps, I need to create a new RFC with the logical name of child system havign CUA admin user in the RFC details. I dont want ALEREMOTE user to be used for my CUA administration. Can anyone please help me in solving my problem.

thanks in advance.

If BI do not need the RFCDES to be the same as the Logical system name, then negotiate a swap with them in return for some /BIC/* authorizations when you restrict ALEREMOTE...

Let your BI team use different RFCDES with their id ALEREMOTE and you can create new RFCDES with name same as logical name of the child system and CUA user. You have to bargain with them as Julius mentioned

But the trick is to correct the "cardinality" of the connections. (see the SDN security wiki)

--> Perhaps the BI folks created this destination, or, they re-used an existing one...

From my experiences they want their own connections and they want to be told (and test) when something is going to be changed. If you offer them that then they will be happy.
