Where is the setting or option is been done for the stock moving into block

Dear Guru,

My understand that we can set the Stock type as Blocked either in PO or during GR, so that the goods will be showing under blocked in MMBe.

But i'm very confusing now, because i saw some of the material document with movement type 101 or 657, where i couldn't find any Block selected, but the goods is showing in MMBE under "blocked" after the material document is posted.

Can anyone please share with me the setting or configuration either in SPRO or any document?

If 657 movement type is used for customer returns, then automatically, the corresponding quantity will go to "Blocked Stock".

Whether material is subjected to quality inspection ? check qualtiy inspection setup in material master ?

Hi,

Are you recording the receipt of Quality Certificate during GR as YES/NO? In this case you can configure the Certificate Type in such a way that if Certificate is not received then Stock will automatically get posted to Blocked Stock.

Check the settings of Certificate Type under path SPRO > Quality Management > QM in Logistics > QM in Procurement > Define Keys for Certificate Processing > Define Certificate Types

Else check in PO under Delivery tab, whether user has selected the "Blocked Stock"?

i checked those PO, the stock type is unrestricted.

and for the QM configuration, sorry can i know which one should i check? there are E21, E22, E23, E31A, E31B, E31C, AND E32

Hi,

Check in Report MB51 for that material with MvT 344 i.e. Transfer Stock from Unrestricted to Blocked.
