What is the standard SRM 7.0 Approved Shopping Cart Functionality?

Hello,

I am currently looking to see what the standard SRM 7.0 functionality is for shopping carts which are in "Approved" status. Once the cart has been completely approved, if the end user would like to edit the cart, what are his/her options? I have tried to test this in our QA system but want to confirm that the functionality that we have set up is the standard one. From what I saw when testing the "Edit" of a cart is that the line items had almost all of the fields grayed out and I could not add a line, but I was able to delete a line item and "Save" the shopping cart. Once the cart was saved, the change converted over to the Purchase Order as well. I would just like to confirm that this is how the standard SRM system works.

Thanks,

Katie

Hello,

After shopping cart is fully approved, it is not possible to change it anymore (add items or change any information in existent items).

Edit button is present. When you press this button, you can delete shopping cart items.

Edit button is present in fully approved shopping carts in order to allow you to delete the document.

Hi Ricardo,

I understand that you cannot edit the items on the shopping cart but the issue here is that the requestor has the ability to delete a line item off of the shopping cart after the purchase order has been created. This particular change does not get sent to the vendor and therefore they will not know that the requestor has deleted the item. Further down the process line, if the vendor ships that deleted it and then invoices for it, the invoice will fail during posting since the item is not on the purchase order anymore.

Should the requestors have the ability to delete a line item on the shopping cart after a follow-on document has been created?

Thanks,

Katie

Hi Ricardo,

Should the requestors have the ability to delete a line item on the shopping cart after a follow-on document has been created? If they shouldn't have the access then something is definitely wrong within our system. So, I just want to make sure I completely understand what the standard functionality is before going any further.

Thanks,

Katie

Hi,

As per standard behaviour after follow on document created for approved SC then after you can not mobify the shopping cart.

You can see EDIT button but once you click on EDIT button then "Delet" button also appears but I don't think you can delete the entry.

I have tried in my system and i am not able to delete the line item eventhough delete button appaers.

Thanks

Yes. you can delete a shopping cart item THOUGH purchase order created but once you do partial GR or Full GR -Good receipt , Requester can not delete his /her shopping cart.

If the cart item has deleted and sourcing activated - this cart item will venture to cockpit for buyer action again.

Ricardo is right ...you cannot edit an approved cart.

But Ricardo can you clarify why was the PO created when she saved the cart after deleting an item? Is that also standard behaviour? Just curious to know.

Thanks,

Nikhil
