Mass clearing using F-32, how to do it quicker

We have a huge number (4 million) of open items on 6 customer accounts that need to be cleared down. The balance on the accounts is not zero so we have posted journals. We then clear using F-32. The problem is SAP resouce does not allow the clearing of this many line items in one go.

The open items date back to 1999 so we have posted further journals that post a single line for the open items per fiscal year. We then run F-32, select by posting date (ie all items in single year) and journal document number, thus restricting the clearing but we have found that we can only process about 70,000 line items at one time and this takes 30 mins to clear in background (F-32 quickly creates a clearing document but the line items are cleared in background)

Is there any way to do this quicker, we can't use F.13 as you can't select by posting date AND document number and in any case F.13 clears in the same way as F-32 so it will take just as long.

I fear if anybody can comment on this unless they really encounter such issue.

If you see there is a limitation of 70000 items in one go, then I cannot see any other way.

4 million line items are huge, probably, you may have to clear the same way you are doing.

I would like to see if there is any better solution for this.

Hi,

IN FBLXN screens you have the option to mass update. If you want to mass clear like 800 line items in a customer account You could assign the same value to ZUONR or SGTXT area with mass update and than rum f-32 or other clearing transaction with ZUONR or SGTXT option. The screen will bring all the line items for you to clear.

I dont think so there is any other way out. Clearing such a huge number of documents takes a lot of time.

Hi, we need to clear 30,000 invoice numbers by running F-32. F-32 currently allows only 25 lines to copy and paste at a time. We need to press enter and copy the next 25 invoice numbers. Is there any way to copy hundreds of invoice numbers into the application to speed up the process? Your help is grealty appreciated. Thanks in advance.
