ITS screen refresh.

Hello All,

I have a few basic questions regarding ITS for using ESS specially for employees entering time.

1. My client( currently implementing R/3 enterprise WAS 6.20) says the ITS version of time entry(CATS) which they evaluated a year ago or so(maybe a lot more), is very slow and has a lot of flicker and page refreshes. Is the later version of ITS 6.2 still have any of these issues.

2. Is it mandatory to install Portals along with ITS for using ESS?

Hello Ravi,

1. The performance of a screen rendered by ITS depends on different requisits. The best way to find that out is to install an ITS 6.20 and test how fast CATS run on the clients machines. (With ITS 6.20 we introduced a functionality called flickerfree to get rid of flicker issues - see note 531617 for further information.)
