Reporting new sales representative in the report

Hi all,

What is the best way of reporting a new sales representative in place of old sales representative.

For example, 1. A sales order is created. At this time the sale order captures the sales rep that is on the customer master. Sales order would report to BW with the sales rep that is attached to it. Let say the order was created in Jan.

2. June comes around and the customer master get changed. The old sales rep is removed and a new one is created for that customer.

Based on the above scenario, what is the best way of reporting with a new sales representative. Any thoughtful ideas would be helpful and would appreciate. Thanks

Hi Venny,

the best way to have the most current master data in your report is to use only navigational attributes (that are read run-time by the OLAP processor from the updated master data) and to do not write these values directly in your provider (avoiding to create an historical view!).

I am not sure but do they use flexible update for master data too in order to capture the changes?
