different behavoir of componentProfile

Hi @ all,

I have a problem using the componentProfile to store some Strings.

I use:

IPortalComponentProfile componentProfile = componentContext.getProfile();

componentProfile.setProperty("TEST");

If I test it through the PortalComponentInspector everything works fine (value is there and stays there).

But if I make an iView of this component the information gets lost... and I get NULL :-((

Anybody can help me with this? (or show me another way...)

BEST REGARDS,

Christian

    Hi Christian,

    I'm afraid I don't really follow you: Where does this code try to change the components properties? Did you create an iView from the component? Then all changes will be restricted to that component instance (iView). Or did you start the component from Component Starter? In addition, setProperty has two parameters!? And did you use the method store()?

    Questions over questions...

    Best regards

    Detlev
