NW Developer Studio PAR Export

Hi developers,

When I Import ex. com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par in NW Developer Studio 2.0.9, also without to change anything in files and after I export the same file just with a different name (ex. my.company.logon), clicking on run in portalapp.xml I've this error:

iView : N/A

Nome componente : N/A

iView not found: my.company.logon.default.

I've checked and in the new par file exported in the EP 6.0 SP 9 misses some elements.

Someone has any ideas of the problem?

Best Regards!

    Hi,

If your goal was to only rename the application. I suggest you to rename your PAR file and Deploys it from the Administration console.

I guess also that your par does not contains the src files so you will have nothing import in your Eclipse project then nothing in your export PAR.

    Hope it help,

    Frederic

I have the same problem here, also in netweaver developer version 2.0.9. How can this problem be solved? I don't want to go back to an older eclipse version anymore.

    • Hi Frederic,

Both libs are empty. But the PAR has been developed by SAP, not by me and I only changed the name of it, nothing else.

You can try it yourself because it is one of the standard par delivered with the portal: com.sap.portal.support.browse.par

In order to changed this par I have followed the guidelines in the how to guide 'create a new portal desktop' offered by SAP.

      Regards,

      Johan

    Thanks for the answers!

Frederic has understood my problem and I'd like he can explain how can I import a .par file in Developer Studio, modify it and after export it in portal SP9 with all src files.

I've not find nothing on the guides! Someone can suggest me some documents to read?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best Regard!

    • Hi,

You can find documentation about "how to" in the Help of the IDE. And there is also a tutorial in sdn.

To be able to change your PAR, you need to have the sources at the beginning.

When deploying the par with PAR tool, you have a option includes src in PAR.

      Best Regards,

      Frederic

    Thanks for your answer!

Administration console? What do you mean? How can I operate to import and export my par file and make them working?

I have just renamed the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par to test the Nw developer studio. I need to change same elements of the PAR file to customize my logon screen but in the deployed par there aren't src files!

Could you explain me the way to work correctly?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best Regards!

    Thanks Frederic!

I've read the documentation in the Help and for the deploy I've flagged the option include code!

I've already modified that file with Eclipse when I used EP 6.0 SP2 and this morning I've started to use my old ecplise to modify the par files of the Ep 6.0 SP9 and it works!!!

So I'd like to Know if there is a bug in Developer Studio or if I've to set same parameters!

    Thanks in advance!!!

    Thanks for the help.

But I tried it already many times and it never succeeds.

    What did i do?

I downloaded the par com.sap.portal.support.browse.par from the portal. After import of this par I exported it again but with another name. When I import this par in the portal again and i create a new iview with head (masthead iview) it doesn't work. I get the following errors:

    Runtime error portal

    error happened during execution of:

    iView : N/A

    Name component : N/A

    com.customer.portal.navigation.HeaderiView.

    Exception id: 09:46_21/12/04_0039_3955050

See the details for the exception ID in the log file

The same error happens when I open the portalapp.xml file in the netweaver developer. When I click on the run button of the default component I get the same error.

So there must be some information missing somewhere.

Does someone has any idea why it goes wrong?

    Best regards,

    J. Winkelmans

I've the same problem and I've tried a lot of different ways to solve the export of the .par but for the moment the old Eclipse for EP 6 SP2 works also with EP 6 SP9 and now I'm waiting for a new upgrade of Nw.D.S. 2.0.9!!!

    Best regards!
