Hi Haarika,

Yes you can. Edit the InfoObject with transaction RSA1. Once editing the object you will see an icon with a little square and 3 arrows (above the Characteristic technical name). Click that icon and you'll get a list with the different objects that use this InfoObject.

Hope it helps,

That was good advice.

But what if i want to make some changes to 0material and it does not allow because it is used in the data target containing data .If i want to see the data targets(having data) using 0material?(so that i can identify in a glace that the data can be removed in that data targets?and tyen i can edit the master data in the object?

Haarika,

If we have such option in BW that would be great. But as per my knowledge we don't have that yet.. only thing is .. since you are getting the infoproviders, manually listcube/manage the each one and try to find do you have any records for that material ??

I don't see any other way now..

Good luck

Hi Haarika,

If you want to do any modification to 0MATERIAL InfoObject that requires master data deletion you will have to delete the content of all those data targets (ODS/InfoCubes) using this InfoObject. So I am afraid that once you get the where-used list you will have to check for each data target if this has data and delete it.

If you get a better way to solve it, let me know.

Haarika,

Simply double click on the InfoObject (you can do this either in Display/Change mode) and go to "Edit" mode and select "Where-used list" ..it will display all the objects where this object was used..

try it.. its a nice output..

Good luck
