System variables in layouts

Hello, experts!

Our customer has defined intervals for doubtful debts. In the report "Business Partner Aging (Details) (System)" he would need to see a column for doubtful debts. SAP for this column indicates the system variable number 60. But when we use such a variable in the layout there is an error "Printing Error: Invalid variable number (RPT -6300) (Field: F_021) Variable '60' Message 200-38".

Note 860774 says that "Generally Variables are not supported by us as they can be subject to change in patches or upgrades." What is the purpose of variables?

How can we display the calculated value in a layout, when variable numbers in system information don't match the numbers in a layout?

Thanks for your reply...

Best Regards

    Hi Alexandra,

To answer your question, the variable in PLD is not equivalent to system variable. They have different numbers. You may find an Excel worksheet for PLD variables from the portal. Not all system variables have equivalent PLD variables now.

    Thanks,

    Gordon

    Hi Alex,

Check PLD_Vars.xls file PLD Variables link for list of PLD system variables.

I found PLD_Vars_April2010.xls file, but it contains only variables from layouts of Marketing Documents. I need the PLD variables for report "Business Partner Aging" (AGE2xxxx). Any other ideas?
