Hi
Please suggest me how can i design so that more than 30 columns are displayed on one page in Crystal report.
My Requirement is to have all the columns in one row so that i can export it to Excel.
My solution was to shrink all the columns and adjust them on the same page, and export the data to the excel. in Excel we can resize the columns.
Please advise if this is a right approach?
Also, please let me know:-
1. What is the method to expand the design page to accomodate maximum columns in one report
( i have tried unlinking the page with the printer and selecting the size a tabloid, but it doest give much space for all the columns)
2. Is it possible to have the columns defined outside the design area, and later when they run, they can be exported to Excel?
Please advise.
Thanks & Regards
Sujata Singh.
Hi,
If you are using Crystal XI or older then the only way is to select a papersize like Legal and set the orientation to Landscape. Drop your fields on the report and use a small font and try to fit them all on the page.
With 2008 and newer there is a setting to disassociate the page from the printer and allow you to manually set the page size. Then you can drop the fields on without changing the font and make it look better in Excel.
Good luck,
Brian
