Hi all,
I heard that it should be possible to instal SAP NW 7.0 with Oracle DVDs which are not packaged by SAP.
If this would be the case I have 2 questions:
- is this procedure documented (and where)
- would the resulting SAP system supported by SAP
Thanks in advance Gerold
Hai....
As per the installation will be done, this is the special case when you purchase the oracle license directly from oracle not from SAP, but the installers for the SAP for the oracle is different then normal.
Even the up-gradation of the database is also cannot be done from the Oracle, you required SAP patched oracle only.
As per advice follow https://service.sap.com/instguides

I think that even in case the software is installed and found, sapinst requires the DVDs.

Hello Gerald,
Just be careful, because if you face any issue during the installation no using the SAP DVDs the support may no be able to help you.
Also, one of the most important thing, follow the guide:

> Database Upgrades
> Oracle
> Choose the Oracle version and Platform
