Question about TDSM - flag in Planning Area creation

Hi:

In the configuration of the Planning Area, you have the following option / flag (see below). It says that if the flagh is checked, then time series data management is done at the detailed level. What I am curious about is this - if this flag is not checked, at what level is the time series management done? Also, what does "time series data management" entails? What is actually done in this step?

Thanks.

Satish

Some links for the TDSM have been provided - I did not take a good look at them yet since I do not need them rightaway.

But, thanks for the response and it is very relevant.
