Error testing Dynpro App - Service cannot be reached - Error code 403 -

Former Member

Hello,

I am attempting to test a Dynpro application, and I receive the error message below.

I have discovered some other related postings outlining similar issues, although I would appreciate some additional instruction in the use of SICF to activate the service, particularly virtual host details.

Any instruction here would be most appreciated.

Thank You,

Regards,

Mart Leepin.

If it is a valid URL, check whether service /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zz__webdp3 is active in transaction SICF.

See for every webdynpro component.. there will be one corresponding service in sicf and it must be activated.

Follow the below steps to activate the service

tcode: SICF

Then press F8, then

expand default host>sap>bc>webdynpro>sap---> '' select ur application name here "

Then right click on it and select "activate service"..

Now your webdynpro component is activate and you can test it.let me know if you got any more errors.

Hi Srinivas,

Thank You for the instruction re: SIFC, this has helped, the browser starts and I arrive at the Netweaver logon screen.

However at the logon screen I seem to be encountering further errors, I have attempted to logon on, the dialog box does not appear, details from the logon screen are as follows:

No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password

SSO logon not possible; logon tickets not activated on the server

Choose "Log On" to continue. A dialog box appears in which you can enter your user and password

No switch to HTTPS occurred, so it is not secure to send a password

System:

*Client: **

User:

Password:

Language:

English EN

German DE

Log On

Change Password

Any further advice here would be most appreciated.

Regards,

Mart.

Thank You,

Looks like I need to increase the http service 'alive time' via t-code SMICM, now the log on screen appears as required.

Regards,

Mart.

I believe the key to solving this error is pointed out in the error message itself:

check whether service /sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zz__webdp3 is active in transaction SICF.

A 403 error code generally does mean that the service node is not active. Go to transaction SICF and see if this is the case.

Hi.,

Check whether the host entries were maintained..!! Path -> run -> drivers -> etc -> hosts -> open with notepad.,

if maintained.,

Goto SICF Tcode and activate the WDA component service.,

check sarbjeet reply in this thread:

hope this helps u.,

Thanks & Regards,
