Contact Person creation in Customer Master

Hi All,

I wanted to create the Contact Person for the particular customer thro Program. When i create thro TCode VAP1, data gets update in Table KNVK and Address info gets stored in ADRC Table for the particular contact person. The Link between KNVK & ADRC table is Address No,its generated automatically. If i wanted to create this Contact Info thro program, how it can be done..

Thanks for your immediate reply. The reason why i want to create contact person info thro program is,Users are creating the contact information from the Web thro BSP Application for the particular Customer.

So if i use BDC, it will not be a feasible one thro Web.

Can you suggest me how can i achieve this..

Hello Raja,

I do not know why you want to write a program to update the Contact Person Details. But I know that the best way to enter this information into SAP is through the transaction. The reason is that these transactions take into consideration all the business logic required and ensure data-integrity and data-consistency.

In exceptional cases ( eg., transferring of huge volumes of data from external systems ) there are other methods, as given in the link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/0d/e212d2543e11d1895d0000e829fbbd/frameset.htm

Please re-consider writing a new program to accomplish your requirement. If still felt as necessary, could you please let us know why you want to write the program?
