Hi all, when I load the Demo Purchasing info package from the Business Content of SAP Demo for file 0D_PU_C01_TD_2002_E.csv, I got an error as below:
An error occurred in record 1 during execution ofconversion exit CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI6_INPUT for field CALMONTH.
Please note that the record have for example, 200211 as CALMONTH field, what is wrong with this?
Thanks in advance for the reply.

encountering same on bw35 level 13, content 353 level 5.
after step thru debug CONVERSION_EXIT_PERI6_INPUT calls routine "CONDENSE <c> [NO-GAPS]" takes field CALMONTH value of 200311 and returns it as 200311#. (appends a # at the end, is this Ok?)
we then tested same on BW 31C and "CONDENSE <c> [NO-GAPS]" returns OK.
has anyone had this experience? note that User->Logon->Date is set to yyyy-mm-dd.
we are new to BW, previous info in thread very enlightening, thanks to all, please advise.
Alfonso

Thanks for all your help. It works now after I reformatted it to MMYYYY.

Hi Ed,
After you open the file in Excel, highlight the column that contains the field for OCALMONTH, right click --> format cells and on the <u>Number tab</u> try "Text". If it does not work try to play with option "Number" or "General". I remember from the past, that it did work for me. Let me know.
Depending on the version you are working with (I guess that starting with 3.1 this functionality is available), at the Info Package level you can do a preview of the input file. This is very helpful before you submit the job, because it helps you catch the potential errors before hand.

Hi Ed,
Consider the <b>Data separator</b> by default when defining the InfoPackage is set to semicolon ";" and normally, when creating the csv file, fields are separated by comma ",". If this is the case change Data separator to "," in the External data tab of the InfoPackage.
0CALMONTH data must be in format MMYYYY in the csv file.
Hope it helps,
Andreu
