How to find URL of Page

Hi,

How can I determine the URL of a page or iView? I want to create a redirect to a particular page in the portal so I can send the friendly URL via email. It seems that in EP 6 this can be found under the iView's quick info and is in the form roles://etc but I can't find this in EP5 SP5.

Thanks.

    Hi,

    try:

    componentRequest.createPageURL(componentRequest.getComponentContext().getComponentName());

this should give You the URL of the current iView.

It works in EP5 as well as in EP6.

    Try it

      Hello,

You can use the name of the par file (which includes the according iView) and the name of the prperty file which links to the Java-Class of the iView.

So if Your par-file name is MyPar and the profile is default, You get to Your iView-link by writing

      myPar.default

      So, all together:

      http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/myPar.default

It's a "long" time ago since I develped in EP5 so I hope I got it right....

      Try it

    Hi,

The iView has no par file as it is just created using the wizards and entering transaction code sbwp. Using the methods above I get either:

    http://server.company.co.uk:49203/scripts/wgate/webgui/!?transaction=SBWP%20&client=590&language=en&accessibility=0

Which when loaded in a browser just redirects to ITS login page OR

    http://server.ad.company.co.uk/SAPPortal/Common/portal/iview.asp?iViewID=1055&mode=1&Urls=20041210114954BRCFmkw2N32epBjV%2BGMgtBXLZBR6MolN

which obviously contains session details and so I get the message "Error. The page you are trying to access is protected."

What I want to do is just load the portal from a url but instead of going to the normal front page, take it to a different page. The content of which is the SAP Business Workplace. This page displays OK in the portal but I don't want to have users click through the navigation to get to it.

    Thanks for you help.
