Netweaver 04

I would like to install SAP Netweaver-04 components on a test server with the following specs:

HP PROLIANT SERVER INTEL XEON 2.8 GHz processor, 2 GIG DDR RAM, 72 GIG ULTRA 320 SCSI HARD DRIVE. I have windows 2003 server installed.

How do I obtain the NW-04 software? What are all components that you get with NW-04?

I know that MCOD is not recommended for a productive instance, but I assume that for a test server I can implement a MCOD framework for the various NW-04 software components.

Please advise.

Kind Regards,

    Hello Phani,

SAP NetWeaver 04 comes in a box on about 11 DVD's. How you get it depends on your license.

For a general start I recommend to read the NetWeaver Masterguide, which you can find here:

    • Hi Phani,

the components of NetWeaver are relatively heavy weight, therefore usually nobody does install a complete NetWeaver. If you've seen the InstGuide of one of the components you will find always the hint to install WebAs first as described in it's InstGuide.

To install a complete NetWeaver you only have to install all components one after another. No special order needed, but some restrictions may apply, that you also will find in the Guides.
