Messages and attachment exchange with MM-SUS scenario

Dear experts,

We are on SRM 7 and ECC6 EhP4

We have implemented the MM-SUS Scenario activating Service Scenario in PI.

My questions are the following?

1. Is it possible for the buyer to send an attachment to the supplier when creating a PO

2. Is it possible for the buyer to send a text message to the supplier when creating a PO

3. Is it possible for the supplier to send an attachment to the supplier when creating an invoice or a confirmation?

4. Is it possible for the supplier to send a text message to the supplier when creating an invoice or a confirmation?

5. Is this a standard functionality or do we need an enhancement for this?

6. Can this be done without SRM 7 EhP1?

7 Are there any improvements with EhP1?

Thanks for your reply.

Hello Ranjan,

Thanks for your reply.

Can you explain what has to be done to accomplish the exchange of text messages and attachments?

Is this just customizing or do I need to implement an enhancement?

Do you have some documentation or any other reference for me in order to accomplish this?

Hi Djurick,

Yes, The buyer will be able to send attachment and text message to the supplier while sending the PO. The supplier will also be able to send the message back to Buyer.

Please refer to the SAP Note 780923.

SAP Note 780923 is for SRM 6.0 and below. Can it be used in SRM 7.0?

Hi,

SOA services implemented since SRM7.0 and ECC 6.0 enhancement pack 4 facilitate transfer of documents and attachments between SRM, ECC and SUS. Difference between SRM7/ECC 6.0 and SRM 7 enhpack1/ ECC 6.0 enhancement pack 5 is that more interfaces have been transferred to SOA services.

So, you can check what are the interfaces that have been transferred to SOA from ECC side (from earlier Idoc). I hope it helps you.

Regards,

Ranjan
