Conditions on mixed hierarchies

Hi All,

We have a requirement as follows to be implemented in BW:

-Hierarchies with multiple levels and changing with frequency say 'often'

-We need generic reports which allows the users to get aggregations on any level. Remember simple display of transaction data in the form of hierarchy is not enough. We need aggregations such as "Top N,Top %, ABC analysis" at any level of hierarchy. Please go through "Conditions on mixed hierarchies" thread.

Is it possible to apply conditions on hierarchy?.

If anyone came across any complex requirements on Hierarchies?

please give your comments/suggestions.

    I had quite complex requirements on hierarchies like skipping entire levels etc. I was quite successful with using hierarchies made by navigational attributes, especially for balanced hierarchies. Once I had an 11 level product hierarchy and modeled it as Product with 10 attributes prod02 to prod 11. You are able to do complex conditions etc. on the attributes, display hierarchies with level 1, 5, 9, 10 and 11 only etc.
