J2EE Development Methodology using NW JDI

Hi

Based on a document on J2EE Development Methodology using NW JDI

The steps as I understand

1. Import Development Configuration

2. Develop

3. Local Build

4. Check in

5. Activate (Build is done by CBS and deployed)

6. Testing

7. Transport Release

If I do not want to check in before testing , do I need to have a separate local J2EE test server ?? After Step 3 Can I Keep deploying to the Central Development Server till the Development and Testing is complete and then go to step 4.

Any help on this will be appreciated.

    Hi,

    The scenario always includes under -2. Development- a complete local deployment and test cycle, as the workbench includes a local server too.

    There are several scenarios to work with JDI, please refer to NetWeaver Masterguide to read them.
