Problem deleting SWCV in my productive PI7.0

Hi

I have a SWCV with several Releases on my system (e.g. SC_1291 with Releases 0.0.8, 0.0.9, 1.0.0 and 1.0.1). I startet with the 0.0.8 version and create later a new version ... and so on. This works and all is transported from DEV to my PRO system.

Now i would like to cleanup my IntegrationBuilder of my PRO system and would like to delete the former versions (0.0.8, 0.0.9 and 1.0.0). I also did the same on my DEV system. There it worked. If I do the same procedure on my PRO system I get follwing error message:

You are not permitted to delete any objects since the software component cannot be changed

I did the transport from DEV to the PRO system via the export/import functionality. Any suggestions, what the cause for the error could be?

Thanks in advance

Michael

Hi,

click on your software component and there will be an option called " object can be modifiable" , select that option then you can easily edit the software component or delete that.

Cheers,

Thanks a lot. This solved my problem.

Is this the standard process to do a cleanup on a productive PI7.0 system or are there any other possibilities?

Hi Michael

What kind of errors did you get when importing in production?

IR changes should be applied to DEV environment and then moved through the whole landscape to productive environment.

Changing directly in production may lead to inconsistencies and conflicts.

Hi Giuseppe

By importing an empty SWCV into my PRO system it works fine. The Question is solved for my part. I had the problem, that I couldn't delete objects in a SWCV before i activated the checkbox "object can be modifiable".

After the responses i tried both - delete objects and import empty SWCV to the PRO system - and both worked fine.

Hi Michael,

Usually manual deletions of objects in IR will be restricted in PRD system. any updations must go through transports through out your landscape.

If you need to delete the objects in your PRD system then you need to double click on your SWC in IR -->in the bottom you can see object properties --->you need to check the box objects are modiafiable

Then you would have permissions to clean up your objects.
