Assigning defects to SFG or FG Code

Hi,

I have an requirement of assigning the defects to the SFG & FG code that is manufactured so that when defect recording is

done the system automatically displays all the possible defects & user only has to enter the no. of defects.

Hi

You need to define this catalog config in T Code QS41. In this, select the catalog 'Defects'. You can mention the catalog codes as per your defect requirements in this catalog.

I have created Catalog Profile. now how to assign defect codes to this Profile

When u craete catalog profile in config (quality notification) , u assign catalog type in it.

in similar way u can assign codes groups in catalog profile.

then attach this catalog profile in material master quality view.

Another option is to create a couple of new inspection types. 04FG and 04SFG for instance.

In the inspection type configuration, assign the proper UD selected set to each inspection type.

Now activate 04FG as the preferred inspection type for your FG materials.

Activate 04SFG for your SFG.

for this u need to create catalog profile in config, with required defect codes.

then assign this catalog profile in material master quality view.

when u record defects for this material u will get list of only those defects then
